Podcast Ep. 5: Andrée de Jongh (Brussels, 1943)

Welcome to the My World My Time podcast, where we go back in time to interview people from history about how they made a difference in the world.

The year is 1943 and we’re in Brussels, Belgium to interview Andree de Jongh, the leader of the Comet Line, which she created to help Allied airmen trapped behind enemy lines escape back to England. Why was Andree so willing to risk her life to help strangers? Listen to this interview and find out!

(The interview is a work of fiction, written by Kathryn Moss. Wherever possible, Andree’s own words have been used as recorded in various interviews.)

  1. How wonderfully inspiring! I am in awe how many people think nothing of risking their life to save someone else’s life. Well done.

  2. This was an incredible story. I love hearing about amazingly ordinary people who have done so much to help others.
